I think it's very cute. If I were a "poor grad student" - Huh? Wha? Me? - I might actually look forward to morning a couple of times per week.

i like the orange one too- sooo citrusy & happy! i can't imagine drinking anything that comes out of that and not waking up!
It is a beautiful machine, I appreciate the design more than the function since I don't drink coffee. With that in mind, I'd say do whatever makes you happy!
